As far as laptop computers go, Toshiba is by no means famous for being the manufacturer of them. They are known for their electronics, and the Toshiba Qosmio is certainly an electronics lover’s dream.

First off, for those AV geeks out there, the Toshiba Qosmio has more AV ports running along the side of it than most of the other laptop computers out there, so you can hook up all types of gear to the computer. Of all of the AV jacks on the computer, the TV tuner is one of the most interesting as most notebook computers lack this component.

As far as looks go, the Toshiba Qosmio is not one of the sleekest computers out there, but its eye appeal is extremely good looking as far as notebook computers go. It has got a smooth black and silver cover with a similarly sleek looking outside; the keyboard is adorned in a shiny plastic material with attractive blue lights. The lights light up different panels to show which features are enabled, and do not take away from the other physical attributes of the system.

As a media lover’s dream of a laptop, the Toshiba Qosmio is equipped with a brilliant screen; colors just pop out of the screen, and the highest resolution may be a bit too much while in other computers it is simply not enough. This is great, because the Qosmio is equipped with the necessary components to use it to play video games, a television, and other types of media as well.

If the portability of your laptop computer is important, the Toshiba Qosmio may not be the best choice for you. It is definitely not the lightest of all laptops, and can make the shoulder sore even when it comes to the best laptop carrying cases. As a matter of fact, the Qosmio may even make you re think whether or not you just want to go with a desktop computer, rather than the laptop computer.

If you are the kind of computer person who likes to add auxiliary equipment to their computer, the Toshiba Qosmio is perfect for you with all of its auxiliary audio visual jacks, but if you are worried about having something convenient and portable, you might want to explore some other options.
