Toshiba has always been popular for producing excellent electronic devices for the average American consumer, and as of late they have been producing high quality laptop and notebook computers for consumer use.
The Toshiba Tecra is one of Toshiba’s latest achievements in laptop engineering finery. As with other Toshiba notebook computers, the casing of the Toshiba Tecra is extremely attractive, but rather flimsy. Being that the screen can be damaged through damage to the outside casing, this isn’t good, especially if you have small children or pets who step without looking. If you have a laptop port or a desk that your computer usually goes on and this will not be an issue, then the Toshiba Tecra might be an okay option for you in that respect. The thing about Toshiba laptops is that they are not really built to last a long while, as many Dell and HP laptop computers are; for people who go through the process of trading in computers and upgrading (as many Toshiba and Dell customers do), this is okay but for those who are looking to make a one time investment for now, you may want to rethink your purchase of the Toshiba Tecra.
Another one of the downsides to the Toshiba Tecra is that the screen is a bit flimsy, although the color is of a high quality. For people who tend to poke their screens a lot, like for work or presentations, in jobs or situations where you show your screen to others, this may not be one of the more convenient features. It’s not like it seems to break, but for those who are rough with their computers the Toshiba Tecra certainly will not do at all. As flimsy as it seems, the Toshiba Tecra is not one of the thinner laptop computers available on the market today. The machine itself is no more than 4 centimeters total, closed, but no less than 3 cm when opened; on the flip side this is one of the lighter notebook computers out on the market today, making it great for people who travel a lot with their computers, as laptop bags are already very wearing on the shoulder
